Residential Boot camp
The Residential Boot Camp has been created to help hone the basic fundamentals of framing. In the course we are going to work on floor joist layout with different on-center spacings, as well as installing hangers. The course will also look at the basic fundamentals of framing walls, and rough openings for both doors and windows. It will show and review framing prints. And demonstrate and review the various tools that a framing crew will use day to day. And finally there will be instruction on the building and erection of a tall wall with the aid of wall jacks.
Pre-requisite – One of the following:
-CIT (Construction Industry Training) or Equivalent
-Period 1 Carpentry Completion
-2nd Carpenter or higher
